Why Eurotopias?

EN: Our motivation to do this film was that we simply had enough of the overwhelming voices and scenarios, which picture our future in a dark, dangerous and inhuman way, as if there would be no choice at all.
Of course this futures could become true, if we won't beware. But next to this Dystopias we think there should be enough space for optimistic visions, for hope and collective aims, which are worth engage in.

DE: Unsere Motivation den Film zu machen enstand daraus, dass wir schlichtweg genug hatten von einer riesigen Anzahl von Stimmen und Szenarien, die unsere Zukunft als einen schlechten, bedrohlichen und unmenschlichen Ort zeichnen. Als gäbe es keine Alternative und keinen Ausweg. Wir sind nicht naiv, wir denken nicht, dass es nicht auch schlimm kommen könnte, wenn wir nciht aufpassen. Aber neben diesen abschreckenden und warnenden Beispielen sollte es unserer Meinung nach auch Platz geben für optimistische Visionen, fuer Hoffnung und gemeinsame Ziele, für die es sich zu engagieren lohnt.

ES: Nuestra motivación para hacer esta película ha sido el sentimiento de sobresaturación de voces y ambientes que dibujan nuestro futuro de una manera oscura, peligrosa e inhumana, como si no hubiese opción alguna.
Por supuesto, este futuro podría convertirse en realidad, si no nos preocupamos de evitarlo. Pero junto a estas Distopías, creemos que debería haber suficiente espacio para visiones optimistas, de esperanza y esfuerzo colectivo, por lo que vale la pena involucrarse.

IT: La nostra motivazione per fare questo film è nata dal fatto che ne avevamo abbastanza di sentirci dire da un numero incredibile di voci e scenari che il nostro futuro è un luogo brutto, pericoloso e disumano. Come se non ci fossero alternative e vie d'uscita. Non siamo ingenui, sappiamo che la situazione potrebbe peggiorare se non stiamo attenti. Ma al di là di questi
esempi che incutono timore riteniamo che ci dovrebbe essere spazio anche per l'ottimismo, per la speranza e per obiettivi comuni, per cui valga la pena impegnarsi.
